13 March 2022

Good Evening Roosevelt Families,

As I reflect on the last two years since the pandemic began, I recognize that we have all been through numerous challenges.  What I continue to value and respect about our community is that we have come together to support our children and each other.  Serving our students and our school continues to be what drives me and our staff.  We do our best to listen, learn and provide assistance, and will continue to do so as the year progresses.

Daylight Savings Time

Don’t forget to reset your clocks one hour forward!  This is always the fastest day of the year, it’s not easy losing one hour.

Mask Update

As our district communicated, masks will continue to be required indoors over the next two weeks and then strongly encouraged when we return from Spring Break.  Many of us are concerned about Spring Break travel and what that may mean for virus spread.

Covid 19 Cases Reported

After two weeks of not having any reported positive cases for anyone on campus, last week we received information that we had two cases.  Please review this information and continue to keep your children home if they are sick, thank you!

Student Led Conferences

Next week from March 23 to March 25 we will have minimum days.  March 23 and March 24 were scheduled to be for Student Led Conferences.  We are going to continue our practice of having students lead these discussions with you all at home. Teachers will help students complete this form, which includes evaluating projects or assignments that they are proud of and that have challenged them.  Teachers will be available to connect with you either on Zoom, phone or over email.

SGT

Our next SGT meeting will be this Thursday at 4 pm

California Parent Survey

The California Parent Survey provides us with information that will help guide district and school efforts to promote safety, enhance learning supports, and improve student achievement.  Your participation is voluntary but is also very important. Please see more information here and you  fill out the survey here. Thank you for your participation!
