1 May 2022

Good Evening Roosevelt Families,

Last week was an exciting one on campus.  I thoroughly enjoyed our Spring Concert, tours from our feeder Elementary schools, Community Day organized by our 6th grade team, and a successful trip to the Zoo for some of our 8th graders.   I am definitely looking forward to IB Fest on Tuesday, May 10th at 5 pm. Invite your friends from the RMS Feeder Schools (Birney, Florence, Garfield, Jefferson, McKinley, Sherman and Washington Elementary Schools) and anyone else you know who is interested in joining our RMS Community. ALL are WELCOME to enjoy RMS IB Fest!  I am also looking forward to our theater performance of High School Musical on Friday, May 13th at 4 pm!  We are working on securing a Saturday time for the performance as well.

We will continue to assist as needed. Thank you for your help!

New Attendance Protocol for Students Leaving Early

Please have your child drop off early dismissal notes in the morning, and then our office team will provide students with a pass to come to the office at the given time.  This will save the time it takes to get students from their class and the interruption that causes.  In your note, please provide:

Your child will then be at the office when you arrive (they of course need to remember!), and after showing your ID and signing them out, you will be on your way.  Thank you for your understanding as we try out this new system!

Absence Reporting

Please continue to report full day absences using this link. Our teachers are making sure all assignments are available in Google Classroom, please check classes with your child for updates.

Have a great week, and always remember your Roosevelt PRIDE: Personal Responsibility in Daily Excellence.
