Good Evening Roosevelt Families,
I want to extend my congratulations to all of our 8th grade students as they finish their last two days as middle schoolers! When talking with students on campus, there has been a mix of excitement for summer and some sadness that the year is coming to an end. It has been quite an eventful year, with many ups and downs, and I am proud of the way we came together as a community and made the most of our time together. Thank you to Coach Courneya and Coach Sand for organizing end of the year activities for our kids, and thank you to Mr. Cortes and Jen Spencer for organizing a wonderful 8th grade dance this past Friday. It was great to see our students having fun as we close out the year!
Promotion
We will have our 8th grade promotion at the Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park on Tuesday, June 14th. Students need to arrive by 8:00 am to get organized. The ceremony will start at 9:00 am. All are welcome to join!
Textbook Returns
Make sure all books are returned tomorrow, Monday, June 13th, thank you! 8th grade students that have not returned their textbooks will not receive their promotion certificate until their textbooks are returned. All students will keep their computers until next year.
RooFriends Blog
Please visit our Friends of Roosevelt Foundation website over the summer and sign up for their email list. Our wonderful RooFriends volunteers will share updates over the summer related to the start of the school year and important events.
